Visual Brand Identity

GRO Health Center is a nonprofit that launched in Missouri in 2020, driving impactful change in underserved communities. Their core mission is improving the lives of historically underserved communities by providing vital resources.

Their organization adopts a holistic approach to community empowerment, offering education, training, and backing climate-smart initiatives, cultivating sustainable local food systems. I was tasked in redesigning their logo and creating their brand book. The objective was to position their brand as an accessible and supportive organization dedicated to fostering sustainability. This project also involved establishing a visual identity to bolster their social media presence and enhance brand materials for programs and events.

LOGO DESIGN

The initial milestone in this project was revamping their current logo. Upon evaluating their previous design, it was crucial to align the logo with their core mission of enhancing the lives of historically underserved communities.

During brainstorming, I emphasized on creating concepts that echoed the organization's narrative. This involved designing symbols, selecting colors, and choosing typography that stayed true to their story. While refining the logo, I integrated a globe element into the selected design from the client’s request. This addition was aimed at highlighting the organization's global support, aligning with their emphasis on global outreach.

Upon selecting a logo, the next step was defining colors and typography that echo the organization's narrative. These elements—logo, colors, and typography—serve as the foundational elements guiding the visual elements within the brand book.
